    Where is it?

  • Indeed – breathtaking is the word… Aescher in the Alps (taken during a day-hike last Monday)

  • Very very beautiful!

  • Hi Frances,

I immediately recognized it – the Äscher. Growing up in the Eastern part of Switzerland we had to go hiking every autumn and this was one of our favourites including the clear mountain lake ‘Seealpsee’. Also introduced it to my Tibetan husband years ago. He has been on top of mount Säntis several times since then, he loves it. Have you also visited that tiny chapel built in a cave a bit further?

  • Hi Sonja,
    Thanks for your comment.
Yes, indeed – the chapel after the bear’s cave is beautiful.
I also love going up to the Seealpsee. It’s one of my favourite tours then staying overnight in the Forelle 🙂
